The boil water notice is still in effect. Update as of Wednesday, November 13th:
The 12 water inch line that burst at the intersection of 15 & 58 across 58 from Hardees was repaired yesterday afternoon and the line has been put back in service.
Town Staff took a round of water test from four separate locations yesterday afternoon after the repair and some flushing. The results of these test are expected early afternoon today from the independent lab. If all comes back normal, DEQ is going to allow us to lift the Boil Water Notice immediately.
We will communicate this via website, email, Facebook, and the radio.
Businesses and residents who are getting discolored water, need to flush the water by running water. Start with outdoor faucet (if you have one) and once that is clear then run the internal faucets until clear. This can be done prior to the Boil Water Notice being lifted.
I will advise once we get the all clear. If you have any questions, please advise.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
