To support the Town of Clarksville and its local Main Street initiative, the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) and Main Street America (MSA) will be helping the community develop Transformation and/or Economic Strategies that reflect Historic Downtown Clarksville’s position in the local and regional market.
In advance of this service, the Town of Clarksville has been asked to circulate a survey throughout the community. These inputs will be used to assist in defining a shared vision. Meaningful community engagement and an analysis of the district’s market position will help guide and shape Historic Downtown Clarksville’s revitalization work as it seeks to strengthen the local economy and ensure quality of life for all!
Main Streets don’t become great places by accident. Revitalization requires years of work, and maintaining positive changes is an ongoing responsibility.
Managing a Main Street district involves ongoing and strategic efforts to constantly adapt to changes in the marketplace and defining a strategy for everyone to be working toward.
You are welcome to share the link with others in the community!!
Thank you in advance for your input.
