NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING THE INTENTION
OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF CLARKSVILLE, VIRGINIA
TO PROPOSE FOR PASSAGE A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF
UP TO $664,000 TOWN OF CLARKSVILLE, VIRGINIA GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OR NOTES FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES
Notice is hereby given to all interested persons of a public hearing concerning the intention of the Town Council of the Town of Clarksville, Virginia, to propose for passage at a meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Clarksville, Virginia to be held on February 21, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Town Council Meeting Room, Town Hall, 321 Virginia Avenue, Clarksville, Virginia, a resolution authorizing the issuance of the estimated principal amount of up to $664,000 general obligation bonds or notes of the Town of Clarksville, Virginia. The proposed use for which more than ten percent of the proceeds of these bonds or notes are expected to be used is to finance the purchase of a fire truck and related equipment for the Town and related costs. Persons may appear and present their views at the public hearing. A copy of the full text of the resolution is on file in the office of the Town Manager of the Town of Clarksville, 321 Virginia Avenue, Clarksville, Virginia, and is available for public inspection during normal business hours. If you should need auxiliary aids, please contact the Office of the Town Manager at 434-374-8177 at least five (5) days in advance of the meeting.

The sole mission of this scholarship is to defray the cost of tuition. (If your tuition has been paid by other means, there is no need to apply for this scholarship.)

The 2023 Personal Property & Real Estate tax bills for the Town of Clarksville have been delayed being mailed due to unexpected problems with the implementation of a new software package. Due to the delay in mailing of the tax bills, the due date has been extended from February 1, 2023 to March 15, 2023.
You may call or stop by the office to request a tax invoice. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Town Operations will be ending loose leaf pickup on February 15, 2023. This will be the last chance to have loose leaf road side pickup until the Fall of 2023. After February 15, any leaf pickup will have to be bagged and placed on the edge of the street with the trash.
