Open House will be open to the public for residents, business owners, stake holders, & anyone who wishes to participate. This process is an informal information gathering session to get ideas, suggestions, and opinions on how to enhance and develop our special Town of Clarksville. Individuals can stop by anytime during the open house and talk with Sandra Tanner. If for any reason, a person cannot attend that day. The Annual Flag Retirement Ceremony will be held at “Pocket Park” located at the stop light in Clarksville at the intersection of Virginia Avenue and Fourth Street on Saturday June 15, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Please bring any old, worn, faded or damaged US Flags to the Town Hall for proper retirement. The Marine Corps League will be conducting the ceremony under the direction of United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Mike Cuykendall.

SUBJECT: Update #5 – Downtown Paving Project by VDOT
Here is a latest update on the Clarksville Downtown Paving Project being performed by The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
No work will be performed on Friday – May 24, Saturday – May 25, Sunday – May 26, & Monday – May 27. All streets and parking will be open.
The tentative plan is to begin paving of the causeway on the bridge from (Uppy’s – SUNOCO) to the business 58 bridge on Tuesday May 28 between 8 a.m. & 5 p.m. and the bridge will be closed with a full detour during the work.
The remaining painting of the street lines and parking area lines will be scheduled after the Memorial Day Holiday. No dates have been provided at this time.

Here is a latest update on the Clarksville Downtown Paving Project being performed by The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
Paving of the downtown area from the bridge to Seventh Street is complete. Downtown Virginia Avenue streets and parking are open.
The preparation of the section of the causeway on the area of the bridge from (Uppy’s – SUNOCO) to the business 58 bridge will continue on Thursday May 23 between 8 a.m. & 5 p.m. with tentative plans to pave this entire area after the Memorial Day Holiday on Tuesday May 28th between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. There will be a combination of one lane remaining open with flaggers directing traffic in the morning hours with a full detour of the bridge to follow.
No work is scheduled to be performed on Friday May 24 and all roads will be open.
The painting of the street lines and parking area lines will be scheduled after the Memorial Day Holiday and are anticipated to be in the evening hours.
