PUBLIC NOTICE

 

The Clarksville Town Council and the Clarksville Planning Commission shall hold a Joint Public Hearing on January 20th, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Clarksville Town Hall located at 321 Virginia Avenue for the following:  

 As adjoining or adjacent property owners to 110 Carol Avenue (Parcel # 22204), Clarksville, Va., you are hereby notified of the following:

The Council and the Commission will hear a request by Annette Henderson to operate a hair salon/barber shop in her residence at 110 Carol Avenue in Clarksville, VA as a Class A Home Occupation.

 

As adjoining or adjacent property owners to (Parcel #s 22085, 26599 & 26600) located at Grace & Ferry Street you are hereby notified of the following:

The Council and the Commission will hear a request by Battery Storage Holding, LLC out of Rocky Mount, NC to construct and build a 5 MWAC/20 MWH utility battery storage (BESS) system to interconnect to the Clarksville Dominion Power Substation located on Grace Street.  The system would be constructed on the wooded undeveloped parcels 22085, 26599, & 26600 located on Grace and Ferry Streets.

 

Citizens shall have the right to provide oral or written comments related to the changes by contacting the Town Hall in advance at 434-374-8177, or by e-mail at townmanager@clarksvilleva.org , or by U.S. Mail sent to P. O. Box 1147 – Clarksville, VA 23927.  A copy of the application is available for review in the Town Hall.
