Recreational Trails Program (State Project No. VRT-348M230)

The Town of Clarksville is planning to construct a water access point on the John H. Kerr Reservoir with 14 boat slips for motorized and non-motorized watercraft, to include a crushed stone path from a land access point at 104 Second Street (PRN 22372).  This project has been made possible through funding from the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) Recreational Trails Program (RTP) which is administered in Virginia by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR).

In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Town of Clarksville has conducted environmental investigations necessary to evaluate impacts of the proposed project on cultural resources, noise, air quality, threatened and endangered species, hazardous materials, and water quality.
